Senior Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 annually for California-based applicants; some roles may include variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and optimize the data platform, focusing on storage-level improvements across ClickHouse and Postgres.
• Make the product deployable on-premises for large enterprise customers.
• Harden security systems and help protect the company, customers, and employees.
• Build an agent-first infrastructure and platform layer for developing and shipping products.
• Drive large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of software engineering experience with deep core infrastructure expertise and strong hands-on coding skills.
• Hands-on AWS experience and experience with ClickHouse Cloud at the serving layer.
• Strong experience with Spark and micro-batching.
• Experience driving large-scale projects across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience building in an AI-forward capacity, including agentic coding fundamentals.
• Startup or early-stage experience, ideally combined with experience at a large company.

Nice to have

• Prior startup founder experience.
• API gateway authentication experience with Envoy or Istio.
• SRE strength, including operationalizing, debugging, and triaging agent-forward systems.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, MicroVM/Runloop, and SPIFFE/SPIRE for agent identity.
