What you will do

  • Research, design, develop, and implement lidar-based perception algorithms.
  • Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize neural networks for 3D detection, classification, tracking, segmentation, and scene understanding.
  • Investigate deep learning architectures and methodologies to improve accuracy, robustness, and computational efficiency.
  • Validate algorithms on large-scale real-world datasets collected by vehicles worldwide.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deploy production-ready models.
  • Optimize deep learning models and classical algorithms for embedded automotive platforms.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing deep learning and computer vision algorithms.
  • Practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and with training, evaluating, and optimizing neural networks.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning fundamentals, optimization, statistical analysis, mathematics, and problem-solving.
  • Solid Python programming skills; C++ experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and turn research ideas into production-quality solutions, with an independent and proactive approach.

Nice to have

  • Experience with lidar, 3D perception, autonomous driving, or the automotive industry.
  • Experience with C++.
