Senior Electrical Engineer (IoT)

Location: Salt Lake City, United States; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Own DC-DC power supply design, with AC-DC experience considered beneficial.
• Develop and validate analog circuitry for the hirify.global ecosystem, including the Sense Family and Hive.
• Design and lay out high-speed digital circuits with attention to signal integrity, grounding, noise, and layout.
• Develop compute, automation, sensor, and wireless product solutions.
• Bring up, debug, and rapidly iterate on hardware prototypes using laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with mechanical, embedded, software, product management, and leadership teams to deliver integrated hardware.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least six years of proven experience in at least two of power supply design, analog design, and high-speed digital design.
• Experience designing and shipping real hardware.
• Exceptional communication, organization, strategic planning, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with safety, EMI/EMC, radio compliance, and testing.
• Ability to work onsite at the Salt Lake City headquarters five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying basic firmware.
• Experience working with overseas vendors and supporting manufacturing.
• Ability to architect projects while balancing rigor and speed.
