Lead, Consolidation Accounting & Financial Reporting

Location: Hybrid position in Columbus, Ohio; office attendance is required as needed.

Salary: $97,000–$145,000 expected starting annual salary range; national range is $97,000–$180,000.

What you will do

• Coordinate close activities and prepare accurate GAAP and STAT financial consolidations across more than 150 legal entities.
• Research and implement accounting policies and procedures, including changes to GAAP and STAT regulatory requirements.
• Advise senior management and business partners on complex accounting transactions, financial data, statements, and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare complex financial information and pro-forma data for auditors, the IRS, state examiners, and other regulatory agencies.
• Lead the design and implementation of improved systems, processes, and technology-enabled efficiencies.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to two associates and facilitate quarter-end close briefings.

Requirements

• Six or more years of related accounting experience.
• Undergraduate studies in accounting, finance, or business administration; an accounting degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and/or STAT requirements, financial statement preparation, company consolidation, taxation principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to interpret financial documents, data, legal requirements, and complex accounting issues.
• This role does not qualify for employer-sponsored work authorization, and hirify.global does not participate in the STEM OPT extension program.

• Progress toward a CPA designation.
