What you will do
- Lead front-line engineering teams executing test and launch operations for Electron and Neutron.
- Build high-performing teams and develop operational frameworks that support a high launch cadence.
- Balance rigorous safety standards with the agility required in fast-paced, time-critical operations.
- Navigate regulatory requirements and drive continuous operational improvement.
- Make time-critical decisions and troubleshoot anomalies in high-stakes environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years of hands-on aerospace engineering, testing, and/or launch or flight operations experience.
- 3+ years leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in fast-paced, time-critical environments.
- Hands-on expertise spanning fluid mechanics, electrical and power systems, automation, instrumentation and control, and software integration.
- Experience with propulsion systems, test engineering, ground test operations, and launch vehicle or spacecraft systems.
- For New Zealand roles, nationality checks are required, and eligibility to access ITAR-regulated equipment and data is mandatory.
Nice to have
- Real-world rocket launch operations experience.
- Experience working at launch vehicle test or launch facilities.
- Working knowledge of FAA, RCC, NASA, and USAF compliance requirements.
