Senior SoC Verification/Validation Engineer (AI Connectivity)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States. Candidates must be based locally or open to relocation.

Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 USD per year, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and validate complex SoCs for AI connectivity and cloud infrastructure.
• Bring up and validate high-speed serial interfaces, including PCIe, Ethernet, and UALink, together with overall SoC functionality.
• Define and execute functional and performance validation plans with Architecture, Design, Verification, and SW/FW teams.
• Develop C/C++ firmware and tests to cover validation plan items.
• Build emulation-platform tools and methodologies for hardware and software/firmware validation and debugging.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on pre-silicon verification or validation experience.
• Strong experience running and debugging SoC simulation.
• Essential knowledge of PCIe, UALink, and/or Ethernet protocols.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C/C++, and Python, with strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Currently based locally or open to relocation to the San Jose, CA area. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently are required.

Nice to have

• Experience bringing up and validating designs on Palladium or Zebu emulation platforms.
• Hands-on experience running and debugging SoC simulation and emulation platforms.
