What you will do
- Develop the customer-facing Search product at the first stage of the booking funnel.
- Build and operate services handling millions of search requests per day from web, mobile, and external partners.
- Generate travel inventory across more than 3,000 destinations in over 40 countries.
- Design scalable, maintainable, reliable, and testable components and integrations using graph theory where appropriate.
- Improve engineering practices, plan technical-debt reduction, and increase team efficiency.
- Ensure observability and monitoring for new components while supporting CI/CD and production releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of commercial experience as a Java Engineer.
- Strong experience with Java/JVM frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.
- Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and relational database management systems such as MySQL.
- Solid experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Solution-oriented approach with the ability to translate business vision into technical solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Redis and Terraform.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices, unit and integration testing, and GitLab CI.
- Experience building scalable systems that handle high volumes of requests or data.
