Application Security Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own the secure SDLC across the product stack.
• Integrate SAST and DAST tooling into CI/CD using Semgrep and CodeQL.
• Manage vulnerability triage and remediation workflows.
• Make application security tool and architecture decisions with reasonable autonomy.
• Expand security coverage for AI and LLM product surfaces over time.
• Communicate security risks clearly to engineering teams and leadership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on security engineering experience building and shipping security controls.
• Application Security experience with concrete tools and delivered implementations.
• Ability to own scope and work autonomously in an early-stage security function.
• Strong risk communication skills for technical and leadership audiences.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS, OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, or SOC 2 is beneficial but not required.

Nice to have

• Cloud and infrastructure security, security operations, data security, hardware and firmware security, or enterprise IT security exposure.
• AI/LLM security knowledge, including the OWASP LLM Top 10 and prompt injection.
• Consulting or penetration-testing experience supported by personal security tooling, automation, or build projects.
