What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruitment of senior Research Scientists, Software Engineers, and Robotics engineers, focusing on passive candidates.
• Partner with founders and engineering/research leaders to shape hiring strategy and calibrate candidate quality.
• Source candidates from technical communities such as papers, GitHub, and conferences rather than job boards.
• Run a candidate-friendly, efficient hiring process that impresses senior researchers.
• Build scalable sourcing, screening, and reporting workflows using tools like Ashby and automate repetitive tasks.

Requirements

• Experience closing senior, hard-to-win technical hires in engineering, AI/ML, or research.
• Ability to credibly engage technical stakeholders and earn their trust.
• Strong systems thinking and automation mindset to improve recruiting workflows.
• Self-starter who can bring structure to ambiguity and maintain quality while moving fast.
• Experience hiring Research Scientists, robotics, or deep-tech engineers.
• Recruitment experience across UK, France, and US markets.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate sourcing or screening.
• Startup experience building recruiting functions from scratch.
• Visa sponsorship and relocation support available.
