Senior Product Security Engineer (SaaS)

What you will do

• Own the evolution and governance of product security architecture for services within SaaS platforms.
• Lead secure design reviews, threat modeling, and architecture assessments for critical features.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security controls into distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments.
• Identify recurring architectural risk patterns and lead large-scale remediation initiatives.
• Provide security leadership during incidents and post-incident reviews, driving long-term corrective actions.
• Create architecture guidance, threat models, decision records, and other documentation while mentoring peers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in SaaS product security, including IAM, authentication and authorization protocols, data protection, API security, and zero trust architectures.
• Experience with cloud and container security using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Strong threat modeling and risk analysis skills for complex cloud-based systems.
• Ability to make architectural trade-offs in ambiguous situations while balancing security rigor and development velocity.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, SRE, and Compliance teams.
• Equivalent practical experience and demonstrable security knowledge; certifications such as OSWE, OSCP, or AWS Security are preferred.
