Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada

What you will do

• Own technical delivery across customer implementations from discovery and proof of concept through deployment and onboarding.
• Architect, implement, and optimize scalable workflows on the platform.
• Partner with customers and Sales to translate technical requirements into workflow solutions.
• Build demos, prototypes, implementation examples, documentation, and technical guides.
• Share customer feedback and feature requests with Product and Engineering.
• Develop repeatable implementation playbooks and help improve internal tooling and processes.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success.
• Strong problem-solving skills in workflow automation and data-intensive environments.
• Strong working knowledge of JavaScript for writing and troubleshooting scripts and implementation logic.
• Basic familiarity with Python and the ability to build or debug APIs.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to own customer implementations from discovery through deployment in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B SaaS, fintech platforms, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code tools.
• Experience delivering enterprise implementations.
• Background in insurance, wealth management, lending, or other financial services.
• Experience creating technical documentation, demos, or implementation guides.
