Early-Career Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Ottawa or Toronto, Canada

Develops an autonomy stack integrating autonomy, sensing, communications, and command-and-control systems for Arctic defence and critical infrastructure.

What you will do

• Build real components of autonomy and field systems used with the Canadian Armed Forces and its allies.
• Contribute to projects involving robotics, embedded systems, RF, machine learning, fabrication, sensing, and communications.
• Ship systems to the field through rapid iteration and short feedback loops.
• Work directly with operators and take ownership of technical problems from an early career stage.
• Develop through close collaboration, mentorship, and direct feedback.

Requirements

• Student, co-op participant, recent graduate, or early-career builder in computer science or engineering.
• Evidence of building projects through side projects, hackathons, research, clubs, GitHub, portfolios, or demos.
• Ability to learn quickly, take ownership, and work without a perfect specification.
• Interest in one or more areas such as robotics, embedded systems, RF, machine learning, or fabrication.
• Ability to work on-site in Ottawa or Toronto.
• No defence background is required.
