Research Associate 1, Cell Operations (Contractor)

Salary: $37–$44 per hour, depending on skills, competency, and market demand.

What you will do

• Maintain and expand multiple mammalian cell lines at different scales for research and screening programs.
• Bank cell lines and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
• Use liquid-handling systems, laboratory robotics, automation, and other laboratory instruments.
• Coordinate with researchers to ensure timely delivery of quality cells and results.
• Perform practical laboratory work and schedule day-to-day activities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of laboratory experience in biotechnology, cell biology, or a related discipline.
• Experience with adherent mammalian cell culture and related techniques.
• Adaptability, flexibility, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong communication skills.
• Availability for a 6-month contractor position in Millbrae, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with iPSC cultures and neuronal cells.
• Experience with automation and high-throughput instruments.
