TL;DR

What you will do

  • Design and integrate secure communications protocols and application-level controls, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and encryption.
  • Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and security reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security automation and continuous validation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conduct code reviews, static and dynamic analysis, penetration testing, and remediation planning for aerospace applications.
  • Support application-level incident response and forensic investigations, including root-cause and impact analysis.
  • Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders while applying agile project management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 7+ years of relevant cybersecurity or related experience, including secure software development in aerospace or another regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of application security, cryptography, secure coding, hardware security modules, and cryptographic key management.
  • Experience with C, C++, Rust, or similar systems programming languages, Linux development, and network protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
  • Familiarity with FISMA, CMMC, NIST, AES, FIPS 140-2/3, zero trust architectures, secure boot, hardware root of trust, SPARTA, and DO-178C.
  • Must complete a U.S. government background investigation and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GWEB, OSCP, CSSLP, or GIAC.
  • Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs.
