Senior Software Engineer (Elixir)

What you will do

• Write maintainable Elixir/Phoenix code and build scalable, fault-tolerant systems using Elixir's concurrency model.
• Develop data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation.
• Implement event-driven architectures and real-time system components.
• Improve the performance, reliability, security, and scalability of distributed systems running on GCP.
• Contribute to technical decisions, architecture discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering stakeholders to deliver features for OMS, TMS, WMS, and CX platforms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on Elixir.
• Production experience with distributed, high-throughput systems and data processing.
• Strong proficiency in Elixir/Phoenix and familiarity with the OTP ecosystem.
• Understanding of functional programming, concurrent system design, databases, event streaming, microservices, and distributed-system patterns.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, explain technical concepts, translate business requirements, and mentor engineers.

Nice to have

• Startup or logistics and supply chain experience.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, OMS, WMS, or TMS platforms.
• Experience with GenServer, Phoenix LiveView, Erlang/OTP supervision trees, distributed Erlang clusters, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Contributions to open-source Elixir projects or the broader Elixir community.
