Senior Director System Validation Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Base salary: $240,000–$300,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead and scale the system validation organization for the AI fabric portfolio across multiple concurrent product programs.
• Own validation strategies for AI fabric switches, including scalable automation, data-centric testing, automated reporting, and specification compliance verification.
• Drive silicon and platform bring-up, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional debugging of hardware, firmware, and system issues.
• Deliver validation results supporting product qualification, customer sampling, and mass-production readiness.
• Collaborate with architecture, hardware, firmware, software, and silicon design teams to define requirements and cohesive validation strategies.
• Engage with key customers, plan resources, manage vendor and partner relationships, and build a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• 15+ years supporting or developing complex SoC or silicon products for server, storage, networking, or high-performance hardware environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on silicon/system bring-up, validation, and debug, including customer systems.
• 5+ years building high-performance engineering teams and validation methodologies.
• Deep understanding of CPU, GPU, SoC, or AI/ML accelerator architectures, including memory subsystems, I/O, power management, and firmware interactions.
• Expertise in pre-silicon simulation and emulation, post-silicon bring-up, system validation, stress testing, performance characterization, debug methodologies, lab infrastructure, and automation frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred, with strong communication and executive influence skills.

Nice to have

• 8+ years leading validation teams, planning execution, and maintaining project visibility.
• 10+ years of hands-on silicon/system bring-up, validation, and debug, including customer systems.
• Knowledge of PCIe, CXL, NVMe, or Ethernet; high-speed signaling principles; x86/ARM architecture; and UEFI/Linux boot sequences.
