Research Scientist (Audio AI)

Salary: $210,000–$360,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Research, design, and implement speech and audio solutions using advanced signal processing and machine learning.
• Develop production-grade inference algorithms, pipelines, and APIs.
• Build models and systems that process terabytes of audio daily.
• Collaborate with Operations to collect training and evaluation datasets and improve model quality.
• Architect resilient systems for inference and model evaluation.
• Set machine learning roadmaps and influence technical direction and investment priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional audio machine learning experience, including DSP and audio algorithm development.
• End-to-end ownership of machine learning pipelines from proof of concept through production deployment.
• Strong Python skills and proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Experience translating research papers and ideas into production-ready code.
• Experience deploying production inference systems using cloud technologies.
• PhD or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience training large neural network models in academic or industry settings.
• Expertise in classical and machine learning-based audio signal processing.
• Publications at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, or CVPR.
