Software Engineering Manager, Platform (AI Storage)

Location: Santa Clara, California; primarily in-office work is required.

Annual base salary: $217,000–$326,000 USD. The role may also include incentive pay and/or equity.

What you will do

• Lead and scale the Flashblade//EXA platform engineering team.
• Enable next-generation hardware platforms through Linux kernel optimizations and advanced NVMe networking technologies.
• Own end-to-end Purity software release execution, including structured release plans and milestone tracking.
• Design continuous integration strategies and phased feature rollouts to improve platform stability and production quality.
• Manage technical engagements with external partners and vendors integrating third-party components.
• Align engineering output with platform performance, stability, and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

• Experience leading technical software engineering teams through complex product cycles with architectural oversight.
• Deep expertise in Linux kernel engineering or protocol development in storage, networking, or server environments.
• Strong knowledge of storage and networking technologies, including NVMe, NFS, and RoCE.
• Experience managing the full SDLC for enterprise infrastructure products and delivering predictable schedules.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, automation scripting experience, and practical knowledge of Agile frameworks and continuous integration pipelines.
• Ability to work from the Santa Clara, California office in accordance with hirify.global policies, except during PTO, business travel, or approved leave.
