Senior Software Engineer (Women Applicants Only)

Location: Remote-first from anywhere in Brazil, with the option to work from São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces up to twice a week.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex software issues and support product and business decisions.
• Own the software development lifecycle from definition and development through testing, production, and maintenance.
• Design and evolve scalable, reliable software architecture, RESTful APIs, and design patterns.
• Improve delivery quality through code reviews, design reviews, documentation, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Handle incidents, troubleshoot and debug production issues, create post-mortems, and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor software engineers and contribute to Agile process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of database design and evolution, software architecture, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with monitoring, observability, performance tracking, version control, testing, and deployment automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Fluent Portuguese and advanced English required for communication, documentation, tools, and collaboration with international partners and coworkers.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring software engineers and developing scalable client-server mobile applications.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, continuous integration and delivery, containers, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of scalability testing and tuning, algorithms, computer theory, and distributed systems.

Hiring process
