Salary: $140,000–$205,000 annually

Corp. is building space infrastructure based on satellites in Low Earth Orbit that collect sunlight, transmit energy using infrared lasers, and provide high-bandwidth optical data connectivity.
What you will do
- Plan and develop electric and chemical propulsion solutions for satellite applications.
- Perform technical and operational trades to select suitable propulsion systems.
- Design in-house electric and chemical thrusters and lead manufacturing, development, and testing.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through rapid design, build, and test cycles.
- Manage suppliers for key propulsion system components and integrate propulsion systems into spacecraft.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Space Systems, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent Engineering or Applied Physics degree.
- At least 5 years of experience identifying, designing, developing, or building satellite or RCS propulsion solutions.
- Experience with propulsion requirements, component design, manufacturing, testing, and product lifecycle activities.
- Must work on-site in the Greater Seattle Area.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.
Nice to have
- 10 years of experience with satellite or RCS propulsion systems, including electric and chemical propulsion.
- Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience managing external suppliers and internal development efforts in parallel.
- Experience using test or operational data for continuous thruster improvement.
- Team or software project management experience.
