TL;DR
Senior Staff Engineer (Embedded Firmware): Designing, developing, and maintaining embedded storage firmware for SFA storage controllers and new storage platforms with an accent on firmware architecture, C/Linux programming, and storage technologies. Focus on implementing and testing controller features, isolating defects, building unit tests, and solving complex debugging and troubleshooting challenges.
Location: Hybrid role based in Pune or Bangalore, with office attendance a few times per week

's Data Direct Networks Technology Center develops embedded storage firmware and SFA storage platforms.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and test firmware features for SFA storage controllers.
- Collaborate on the architecture, design, and implementation of storage system features and new SFA platforms.
- Isolate and resolve firmware defects through debugging and troubleshooting.
- Contribute across the full embedded software development lifecycle, including design documentation and unit testing.
- Work with local and remote engineering team members.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, a related discipline, or comparable experience.
- Experience developing embedded firmware using C and Linux.
- Strong debugging, development, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PCIe, SCSI, NVMe, and RAID technologies.
