Testing & Validation Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build and operate joint-level dynamometer infrastructure for actuator torque, speed, efficiency, thermal, and life testing.
• Define and execute component verification for boards, batteries, harnesses, sensors, and other electromechanical subsystems.
• Own integration verification across bench, gantry, free-standing, and walking stages.
• Run full-system benchmarking for payload, speed, endurance, repeatability, and reliability.
• Define acceptance criteria and shipment-readiness processes for robots and subsystems delivered to headquarters.
• Automate testing in Python, maintain traceable hardware and firmware test records, and feed failure analysis into design iterations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of testing and validation experience with electromechanical systems in robotics, automotive, or automation.
• Hands-on experience building test rigs and using torque sensors, current probes, thermal measurement, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong data analysis skills and Python proficiency for test automation and reporting.
• Experience defining verification plans, acceptance criteria, and reliability or life-test programs.
• Fluent English required for cross-site collaboration with headquarters.

Nice to have

• Experience with humanoid robots, cobots, or automotive systems.
• Actuator or servo dynamometer testing experience.
• Familiarity with HIL testing and firmware validation.
• Exposure to robotics safety and compliance standards.
