Senior/Staff Behavior Prediction Engineer (Autonomous Driving)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week at the Santa Clara, California office

Salary: $170,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop behavior prediction modules that forecast the movements and actions of surrounding objects for autonomous vehicle decision-making.
• Build and maintain software infrastructure for large-scale image and LiDAR data used in machine learning.
• Design optimized, scalable pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, post-processing, and inference.
• Train and evaluate LSTM, Transformer, and other behavior prediction models, addressing performance bottlenecks.
• Create scalable training and evaluation tools to support rapid model iteration.
• Integrate prediction systems into the autonomous driving stack and conduct system testing for reliability and safety.

Requirements

• Ph.D. with 3+ years of industry experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong machine learning experience, particularly behavior prediction for autonomous driving.
• Familiarity with LSTM, Transformer, and related machine learning architectures.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, large-scale data processing, and cloud computing platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
