Information Assurance and Compliance Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States; hybrid schedule available for candidates in the Chicago, Illinois metro area. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must pass an enhanced security background check including a financial vulnerability assessment.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST CSF, IL5, and FedRAMP High.
• Manage compliance with government security standards and address technical and non-technical security requirements.
• Define data classification and protection requirements for IT systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity policies into business operations.
• Educate employees on privacy protections and security restrictions through training and communications.
• Support Approval to Operate processes, troubleshoot policy implementation issues, and improve security protocols.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required due to involvement with GovCloud and FedRAMP.
• 4+ years of experience developing, implementing, and managing cybersecurity policies.
• Practical expertise with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and enterprise security strategy implementation.
• Experience with DoD Impact Level 5, FedRAMP High, SOC 2, and ISO compliance requirements.
• Strong AWS Cloud Platform knowledge and experience preparing security documentation for compliance audits.
• Experience with data classification, data protection requirements, employee training, and the Approval to Operate process.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, or CIPP/US certification.
