Director of Infrastructure & Security

Location: Chatsworth, California, United States; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Define and execute infrastructure, enterprise IT, cloud, cybersecurity, and security systems strategy across commercial and defense-focused operations.
• Lead IT and DevOps teams, develop existing leaders, design the next-stage organization, and build the Security Engineering function.
• Guide AWS architecture, reliability, security, cost management, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Establish security operations covering endpoint protection, SIEM and logging, threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Own technical controls, documentation, and audit readiness for CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and related defense and aerospace requirements.
• Architect and operate physical security technology, including access control, surveillance, identity integration, and monitoring systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience across infrastructure, enterprise IT, cybersecurity, DevOps, or related technical functions, including leadership of technical teams and senior leaders.
• Experience owning infrastructure or security in a complex engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale technology functions, operating models, and teams.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise IT, cloud infrastructure, networking, identity and access management, and cybersecurity architecture.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud environments and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience operating cybersecurity programs involving endpoint security, SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, and detection and response.

Nice to have

• Experience with CUI, export-controlled information, classified programs, CMMC certification, ITAR/EAR environments, or comparable compliance programs.
• Experience designing infrastructure for manufacturing facilities, engineering labs, or other complex physical environments.
• Experience with access control, video surveillance, visitor management, and integrated identity systems.
• Experience scaling infrastructure and security during rapid company and facility growth.
