Senior Systems Design Engineer (AI Hardware)

What you will do

• Own the design and development of reference boards and hardware platforms, translating silicon capabilities into robust system designs.
• Drive schematic design and guide PCB layout with internal teams and external partners.
• Own power delivery, high-speed interfaces, clocking, signal integrity, power integrity, and overall system robustness.
• Define package-level constraints and partner with OSATs and manufacturing vendors on package-to-board integration.
• Support board bring-up, system-level debugging, design for manufacturability, and prototype-to-production readiness.
• Collaborate with integration, product, test, packaging, and manufacturing teams to deploy customer-ready hardware platforms.

Requirements

• Significant experience in hardware or board-level design.
• Strong background in high-speed digital design and power delivery.
• Experience designing and bringing up complex PCBs.
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium, Cadence, or similar.
• Understanding of package-to-board interactions and system-level constraints.
• Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with strong engineering judgment and attention to detail.
• Experience working with external PCB and OSAT vendors.
• Ability to create working systems despite incomplete or evolving requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML hardware or high-performance computing platforms.
• Exposure to multi-die or chiplet-based systems.
• Familiarity with thermal and mechanical considerations in hardware design.
• Experience supporting hardware through bring-up and early production.
