Manufacturing Operator (Membrane Products)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite, first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Salary: $24–$26 per hour, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Operate assembly equipment, second-operation machines, vacuum furnaces, cutting equipment, and other production tools.
• Process raw metal powders and green forms into targeted membrane product forms, including sintering, laser cutting, wet saw cutting, trimming, testing, and cleaning.
• Inspect, measure, test, label, package, and document products according to work orders, process records, and packaging specifications.
• Enter inspection data, batch details, production records, labels, and other transactions in SAP and complete required Excel and data-entry tasks.
• Set up and adjust equipment, meet required takt rates, support inventory and cycle counts, and prioritize work under lead or supervisor direction.
• Participate in Kaizen, 6S, and other continuous improvement activities while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to understand documented processes and procedures, perform basic math, complete computer data entry, and use measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk throughout the shift, climb a ladder up to 4 feet, and perform repetitive pinching, grasping, twisting, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing clean-room environment with required protective equipment, including a bunny suit, safety glasses, and nitrile gloves.
• Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours when required by department needs.
