Senior Engineer/Team Lead (Multi-Cloud Operations)

Location: Remote within the Continental United States; 5% travel required. Must be a US Citizen and eligible to support US public-sector customers and complete required background investigations.

What you will do

• Support and manage customer cloud environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure, with future expansion into Google Cloud Platform.
• Diagnose complex operational incidents and identify root causes across compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, and security services.
• Build automation, API integrations, AI-enabled workflows, AIOps practices, and agentic processes to reduce repetitive work and improve resolution times.
• Communicate with customers and internal account teams about incidents, service requests, maintenance, and changes while meeting SLA commitments.
• Measure automation and AI initiatives and report improvements in operational efficiency, customer experience, and platform reliability.
• Provide technical leadership during complex incidents, mentor engineers, and drive long-term corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or military experience.
• 6–9 years of experience troubleshooting and managing core services in both AWS and Azure.
• 3+ years developing automation solutions with Python, PowerShell, APIs, workflows, or orchestration tools.
• 3+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure, cloud operations, managed services, or platform engineering environments.
• Experience using AI tools, assistants, automation platforms, REST APIs, and cloud-native services to improve operational efficiency.
• US citizenship, eligibility to support public-sector customers, and successful completion of required criminal history, fingerprint-based, or other customer-mandated investigations.

Nice to have

• Experience at an AWS/Azure managed service provider.
• Experience with LLMs, generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI APIs, or similar platforms.
• Experience with agentic workflows, AI orchestration, AIOps, observability, intelligent event correlation, knowledge retrieval, or RAG solutions.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications; proof of active certifications may be requested.
