Salary: $10,459.67–$15,675.58 CAD monthly

What you will do

  • Lead and coordinate corporate and foundation fundraising activities in collaboration with senior university leadership.
  • Develop strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major-gift prospects and donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of 75–150 major-gift prospects and conduct donor visits and solicitations for gifts of $50,000 or more.
  • Prepare proposals, solicitation materials, and correspondence for priority university projects.
  • Manage the donor pipeline and oversee donor recognition, acknowledgement, and stewardship programs.
  • Mentor, motivate, and supervise fundraising and support staff, including participation in hiring and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • At least eight years of related experience, including five years in fundraising, alumni engagement, advancement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven major-gift fundraising experience and strategic development skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects, formulate strategic plans, work independently, and exercise sound judgement and discretion.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, supervise, and develop the work of fundraising staff.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree or undergraduate degree in commerce, marketing, or economics.
  • Three years of experience meeting or exceeding annual metrics at the Associate Director level or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of the university environment and academic structure.
  • Experience with a centralized fundraising system and Microsoft Office.
