What you will do
- Support the design, instrumentation, and build-out of an advanced laboratory.
- Conduct isotopic analysis and trace-element detection using ICP-MS, TIMS, and SIMS.
- Monitor nuclear fuel cycle materials using analytical chemistry techniques.
- Develop and validate sample preparation, digestion, and separation methods.
- Interpret mass spectrometry data and collaborate with process engineers and operations support.
- Follow radiation protection, hazardous material handling, and chemical safety protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; graduating students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of mass spectrometry techniques such as ICP-MS, TIMS, or SIMS and experience with analytical instrumentation.
- Basic proficiency in wet chemistry, including sample digestion, titration, and precipitation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
- Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, a portfolio, or completed products.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
