Mission Operations Engineer (Specialist, Senior and SME)

Location: Houston, United States; office environment or shift work in a Mission Control Center.

What you will do

• Define and implement concepts of operations, procedures, tools, and console products.
• Develop integration products, including interfaces, timelines, test plans, and operational documentation.
• Contribute to mission control systems, training environments, and operational infrastructure.
• Develop and execute training plans and certification flows for flight controllers and astronauts.
• Support simulations, mission rehearsals, readiness activities, and flight rule development.
• Serve as a certified flight controller during real-time operations, monitor spacecraft systems, respond to anomalies, and document improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or another related technical field, plus 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and producing high-quality results under tight deadlines.
• Ability to progress through and complete flight controller certification.
• Strong problem-solving, technical solutioning, collaboration, accountability, and execution skills.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency is required.
