GenAI Engineer (Product Marketing & Adoption)

What you will do

• Maintain and enhance the Copilot AI agent using Google Cloud Vertex AI.
• Integrate internal and external APIs through function calling and actions.
• Expand agent analytics, search indexes, and retrieval augmented generation context.
• Create monitoring tools and assess the quality and correctness of agent responses.
• Use prompt engineering, RLHF, adapter tuning, and other methods to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with full stack engineers, product managers, and Google solutions specialists to prototype, implement, evaluate, and deploy new AI features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least one year of Generative AI experience or extensive, demonstrable personal projects.
• Understanding of LLM and GPT concepts, with proficiency in prompt engineering and Python.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker and/or SQL query writing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Cape Town, South Africa.

Nice to have

• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache MLlib, or Scikit-learn.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Scala.
• Marketing or advertising industry experience.
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience and affiliate or partnership industry certification.
