Settlement and Liquidity Officer

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end settlement of funds across major accounts, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve pending or failed settlements with counterparties, Operations, and IT.
• Manage end-of-day reconciliations and prepare clear settlement reports.
• Monitor and forecast daily cash positions and coordinate intraday liquidity for funding and settlement obligations.
• Optimize internal and external liquidity lines, minimizing idle balances and avoiding overdrafts.
• Support treasury-finance reconciliation and contribute to settlement and liquidity process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in settlement operations, treasury, or liquidity management.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments and clearing and settlement cycles.
• Hands-on familiarity with NIBBS, RTGS, NEFT, switching processes, and settlement platforms.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and working knowledge of treasury systems such as Calypso, Finacle, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and independent execution skills.
