Senior Associate, Settlement (Fintech)

What you will do

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly merchant settlements and reconciliation processes.
• Review transaction details, approve settlement data, and manage multiple merchant settlement activities.
• Investigate and respond to chargeback disputes across payment networks and regions while working to reduce chargeback and fraud rates.
• Coordinate with customer support, sales, product teams, banks, payment networks, and regulatory bodies on settlement-related issues.
• Maintain fraud incident reports, analyze settlement and chargeback metrics, and provide recommendations based on trends.
• Lead process improvement, automation, and technology enhancement initiatives for settlement and chargeback operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in settlements or chargeback processing within the payments industry.
• In-depth knowledge of payment processing systems, settlement procedures, and chargeback regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership experience, client engagement experience, and the ability to manage projects and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with payment processing platforms, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Excel for handling large datasets and compiling detailed reports.
