Director, Editorial of Threat Research Insight & Impact

Location: Austin, United States. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Set the long-term editorial strategy, content roadmap, thematic pillars, publishing strategy, and publication cadence for technical threat research.
• Lead, grow, and develop a multidisciplinary team covering publication, social media, events, and internal awareness.
• Establish the editorial voice, tone, style guide, quality standards, and brand consistency across digital, audio, video, and print formats.
• Collaborate with threat researchers, evangelists, Product Marketing, communications, and research leadership to identify and amplify the most relevant research.
• Run the research blog, research social media presence, industry-event participation, and internal awareness program.
• Track metrics, conduct content audits, optimize ROI with SEO/GEO, growth marketing, social media, and PR teams, and report outcomes to the C-suite.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of the information security industry and current engagement with the threat research community and evolving threat environment.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in security, communications, marketing, or related fields.
• 5+ years of people-management experience, including management of managers or team leads.
• Strong communications skills and the ability to translate complex technical research into compelling content across formats and channels.
• Business acumen with the ability to set strategy, prioritize work, and connect team outcomes to broader business goals.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Hands-on technical security experience in threat research, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or a similar area.
• Experience working with or alongside a research organization.
• Experience building or managing an internal communications or awareness program.
