Clinical Development Lead (Generative AI)

What you will do

• Set clinical requirements and the quality bar for the member-facing LLM chat, Gen AI UX, Doctor Scribe, and Pre-brief.
• Build and run the clinical evaluation framework for generative outputs, including the acceptance threshold behind the 90%+ evaluation score.
• Own the clinical safety case for member-facing chat, addressing hallucinations, unsafe or incorrect advice, and missed escalation.
• Validate Doctor Scribe output against auto-generated debrief and referral-accuracy targets.
• Partner with the LLM and Gen AI Product Manager and Engineering Lead on the pillar roadmap and validate releases for clinical safety, accuracy, and compliance.
• Collaborate with clinical, quality, compliance, learning, operations, market, and clinic leadership throughout the product lifecycle while maintaining a small clinical commitment of approximately 0.05–0.1 FTE.

Requirements

• Practising or recently practising physician, or equivalent clinical-scientific professional with deep clinical fluency and credibility to act as clinical DRI.
• Direct experience with LLMs or generative AI in a healthcare or clinical-content setting, including building, evaluating, or clinically validating generative outputs.
• Strong understanding of clinical generative-AI failure modes, including hallucination, unsafe advice, and missed escalation, and how to evaluate them.
• Working knowledge of medical-device and clinical-software quality and safety obligations, including EU MDR and GCP, as applied to AI.
• Ability to produce and validate specialist clinical content independently, rather than only coordinating others.
• Ability to operate across Swedish, UK, and US clinical contexts and override the tool with clinical reasoning when necessary.
