Location: New York, NY, United States

Salary: $149,000–$157,000 annual base salary in New York and New Jersey; $134,000–$141,500 in Illinois.

What you will do

• Support recurring accounting close deliverables by ensuring financial data is accurate, reconciled, and delivered on schedule.
• Connect and analyze data across multiple source systems to explain financial results and prepare accounting workpapers.
• Build and maintain reporting, analytical tools, and data models for standardized and ad hoc financial reporting.
• Partner with data and data engineering teams to ensure the availability and accuracy of financial data.
• Support external audit requests by documenting data sources and lineage.
• Identify technology and process improvements that make month-end close activities more rigorous and repeatable.

Requirements

• 4+ years of practical experience analyzing and engineering large data sets, ideally in finance, accounting, or operations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including work with large data volumes and reporting tools.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Ability to connect and interpret data across disparate source systems to answer accounting and financial questions.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to manage competing priorities under deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills across accounting, finance, operations, data, engineering, and external audit stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with accounting operations and the month-end close cycle.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Track record of learning new tools and skills to improve execution.
