Senior Software Engineer, Algorithms and Libraries of AI/ML/DSP (RISC-V)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan. Right to work in Taiwan is required. Access to export-controlled technology is subject to authorization or required export licenses and approvals.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize high-performance algorithms and software libraries for RISC-V machines using vector processing and custom ISA extensions.
• Deploy hirify.global Kernel Libraries to open-source AI/ML and DSP frameworks.
• Collaborate with compiler and runtime engineers to improve compiler optimizations and integrate algorithms into an MLIR-based parallel programming framework.
• Participate in codesign with architects and hardware engineers, balancing microarchitecture, architecture, and algorithm design tradeoffs.
• Lead a cross-functional project from conception through product release.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing and optimizing algorithms for specific microarchitectures.
• Experience writing low-level C and assembly code, including development, debugging, testing, and performance analysis.
• Knowledge of algorithm analysis, linear algebra, and parallel computing.
• Experience with C, C++, Python, Jinja2, and CMake.
• Familiarity with major ML training frameworks and inference runtimes such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, LiteRT, ExecuTorch, ONNX Runtime, and TVM.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ARM SIMD technologies, including NEON, MVE, and DSP extensions.
• Familiarity with parallel computing frameworks such as CUDA and OpenMP.
