TL;DR
QA Lead (SQL/Data Testing): Designing and executing QA validation for analytical outputs, dashboards, reports, and data layers with an accent on data quality, SQL-based testing, and defect management. Focus on building test coverage, investigating root causes, validating fixes, and supporting UAT sign-off for fintech data products.

What you will do
- Create test cases, test plans, QA checklists, validation queries, and traceability records based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Test analytical outputs including extracts, reports, dashboards, tables, and views for completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, and fitness for use.
- Execute SQL-based validation across relevant data layers and environments.
- Coordinate with Data Analysts, Data and AI Success Managers, business teams, and other stakeholders to define coverage, scope, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
- Log, triage, track, and retest defects; provide QA reports, evidence, and sign-off support for UAT and production deployment.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and meet agreed SLA timelines while reporting risks, blockers, and testing progress.
Requirements
- Experience in quality assurance or data testing, preferably in analytics, data warehousing, or data platform environments.
- Strong SQL skills for validating data across layers and creating ad hoc validation queries.
- Hands-on experience with BI and reporting tools such as Google Data Studio, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, or Excel.
- Knowledge of analytics and data warehousing concepts, data flows, test design, defect management, validation, and sign-off practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred; familiarity with BigQuery, Tableau, Power BI, DAAS, Hadoop, and data QA automation is advantageous.
Nice to have
- Experience with data QA automation, including SQL-based regression suites or scheduled validation jobs.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or large-scale transaction data environments.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and stacks.
