AI Search & SEO Manager (AEO/GEO/AIO): Own Vagaro's organic search strategy across traditional SERPs, AI Overviews, generative search engines, and LLM-powered assistants with an accent on technical SEO, entity authority, and AI-readable content. Focus on building AI search measurement frameworks, improving crawlability and structured data, and translating search insights into cross-functional product and content initiatives.
Location: Onsite in Pleasanton, California, Monday through Friday
Salary: $140,000–$174,000 annual base salary, plus an annual bonus of up to 10%

What you will do
- Own AI search strategy across answer engine optimization, generative engine optimization, and AI overview optimization.
- Optimize content and entity authority for Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and other generative search surfaces.
- Lead technical SEO initiatives covering crawlability, Core Web Vitals, schema, structured data, canonicalization, and site architecture.
- Develop keyword research, competitive analysis, topic clusters, content briefs, and local SEO initiatives across B2B and B2C surfaces.
- Define emerging AI search metrics and report on AI search and SEO KPIs to stakeholders and executives.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, content, paid, brand, and lifecycle marketing teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of SEO experience, ideally in SaaS, marketplace, or high-growth technology environments.
- Demonstrated success building and executing strategies that drive measurable organic growth.
- Hands-on experience with AI search optimization, including AEO, GEO, and/or AIO.
- Strong technical SEO knowledge, including crawl analysis, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, and canonicalization.
- Experience using AI tools, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and BI tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with engineering, content, and marketing teams.
