Senior Robotics Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and adapt robust localization and SLAM pipelines using multi-sensor fusion (LiDAR, cameras, IMU, odometry) within ROS2.
• Integrate and tune path planning and obstacle avoidance algorithms for safe navigation in dynamic environments.
• Create behavior and decision logic to enable robots to react to complex navigation challenges.
• Coordinate mobile manipulation tasks by integrating navigation with manipulation workflows.
• Test and validate navigation and localization systems using Isaac Sim.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary agile team to contribute to the future roadmap of intelligent systems.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile robot navigation, localization, or autonomous systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and C++.
• Solid understanding of SLAM, state estimation, sensor fusion, and path planning.
• Experience customizing the Nav2 stack for mobile manipulation.
• Familiarity with behavior trees, robot state machines, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

• German language proficiency is welcome.
