Computer Vision Software Developer II (AI)

Location: Montreal, Canada; hybrid with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in the Montreal office

Salary: $90,960–$136,440 annual base pay, plus a target performance-based annual cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay

What you will do

• Transform computer vision and deep learning prototypes into high-quality, production-ready code.
• Design optimization strategies for computer vision algorithms across embedded systems, mobile devices, x86, GPUs, multi-core ARM CPUs, and AI accelerators.
• Design and review software modules and architectures that improve capabilities and performance.
• Collaborate with embedded systems, backend, and computer vision engineers to continuously improve implemented algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews and document software architecture.
• Create automated software tests and troubleshoot software issues as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Basic understanding of computer vision, including image classification, segmentation, anomaly detection, object detection, and OCR.
• Strong programming skills in C, modern C++, and Python.
• Ability to work onsite in the Montreal office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO, TensorRT, or LiteRT inference libraries.
• Experience optimizing embedded Nvidia or ARM GPU and AI accelerator platforms.
• Experience with parallelized and vectorized computation, CUDA, or OpenCL.
• Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, vision-language models, vision transformers, or advanced CNNs.
• Experience with generative AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot; French language skills are preferred.
