Materials Engineer

What you will do

• Source and evaluate engineering materials and alternative suppliers to improve piece-part quality, cost, and supply assurance.
• Provide technical support for new product introduction and product transfer activities.
• Interpret material specifications, review documentation, and determine the disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Plan inspection and testing requirements for incoming piece-parts and analyze evaluation and test data.
• Track supplier quality performance and participate in supplier quality improvement programs.
• Support manufacturing with material-related issue resolution and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels.
• Resourcefulness, attention to detail, sound analytical skills, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Flexibility to switch roles, responsibilities, and tasks as needed.
• Ability to work under aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
