Staff Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable software systems aligned with company goals and technical standards.
• Drive architectural decisions, define technical strategies, and establish coding standards and development methodologies.
• Lead complex projects from conception through delivery in collaboration with engineering, product, design, and other stakeholders.
• Own system and application performance, security, and reliability while identifying and mitigating technical risks.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, provide code review feedback, and promote continuous learning.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements to team efficiency, code quality, and system performance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, including large-scale systems and application architecture.
• Experience with Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript; the stack includes Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud technologies, distributed systems, microservices, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and independent working skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Applicants must have the right to work in the jurisdiction where they will work.
