Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design and build new backend services and high-scale product endpoints using Go.
• Work across the existing Node and TypeScript core as new components are developed in Go.
• Write clear, tested, and documented code that delivers business value.
• Partner with engineers on architecture design and code reviews.
• Maintain infrastructure processing 60PB+ of monthly data traffic, 300k+ service requests per second, and 500k+ Kafka messages per second.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience in any programming language.
• Hands-on Go experience or a strong drive to develop in Go.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and building for scale.
• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude, Copilot, Cursor, Codex, or similar.
• Proactive, ownership-driven approach.
• Solid English and Lithuanian language knowledge.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React or JavaScript to understand how backend logic is visualized.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
• Experience leading R&D initiatives or introducing new technologies and AI tools.
