AI Robotics Engineer (Sensor Integration)

What you will do

• Integrate humanoid and collaborative robots with diverse sensor suites, including driver bring-up and calibration.
• Design high-throughput sensor network topologies using VLAN segmentation and deterministic uplink policies.
• Develop precise time synchronization (PTP/NTP) and cross-modal alignment strategies for training data.
• Build sensor fusion components combining visual, inertial, and proprioceptive data streams.
• Create diagnostic tools and dashboards to monitor sensor health, packet loss, and stream integrity.
• Collaborate with AI, perception, and IT teams to support infrastructure CI/CD and integration requirements.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
• 4+ years of experience in robotics/sensor integration, real-time networking, or distributed data acquisition.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and modern C++.
• Hands-on experience with robotics middleware such as ROS 2, DDS, or Zenoh.
• Solid background in network engineering and time synchronization (PTP/IEEE 1588).
• English: Professional proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying software on robotics hardware and edge devices like NVIDIA Jetson.
• German language skills.
