Junior Risk Manager

Location: New York or London

Salary: Minimum base salary of $125,000 per year if located in New York; discretionary bonuses may form a significant part of total compensation.

What you will do

• Identify and evaluate risks associated with discretionary trading strategies.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and traders on strategy analysis.
• Monitor strategies against risk allocations defined by the Investment Committee.
• Analyze portfolio-level risk and performance drivers.
• Support trade portfolio construction across the discretionary business.
• Improve risk management processes, controls, and infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field, including mathematics, statistics, econometrics, financial engineering, operations research, computer science, or physics.
• Graduate-level candidates through professionals with up to 3 years of commercial experience.
• Demonstrated interest in risk management and quantitative approaches.
• Ability to collaborate with trading, analyst, and quantitative teams globally.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
