Digital Assets Compliance (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA; in-person work at the Presidio-based office 3–4 days per week

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 annual base salary plus equity

What you will do

• Operate and improve AML/BSA monitoring capabilities for stablecoin and crypto payment products.
• Build and maintain digital asset sanctions controls, including blockchain analytics, wallet screening, and crypto transaction risk management.
• Develop, test, and tune blockchain monitoring rules, stablecoin policies, procedures, and monthly activity reporting.
• Advise product and engineering teams, translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications, and review new products and partnerships before launch.
• Investigate transaction monitoring and screening alerts involving potential money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, and OFAC violations.
• Develop partner communication processes, investigation procedures, and training for crypto investigations and digital asset compliance.

Requirements

• 4–5+ years of financial crimes compliance experience, including at least 3 years in digital assets, crypto, or blockchain compliance.
• Experience conducting investigations related to transaction monitoring and screening.
• Expert knowledge of BSA/AML requirements and their application to digital assets.
• Strong understanding of stablecoin mechanics, blockchain technology, and crypto payment flows.
• Technical aptitude and ability to work with engineering teams to integrate compliance into product architecture.
• Ability to design systems from scratch, make risk-based decisions under ambiguity, and manage relationships with regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
