What you will do

  • Provide expert sanctions guidance to business, operations, and technology divisions on funds transfers, securities trades, complex transactions, and investment banking deals.
  • Assess and investigate sanctions matters involving UK, EU, OFAC, and other relevant sanctions regulations.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, internal assessments, disclosures, and responses when required.
  • Advise on sanctions controls and assess the impact of new or expanded business activities.
  • Contribute to sanctions and Financial Crime Compliance governance forums while maintaining metrics, deadlines, and records.
  • Develop and deliver sanctions training for hirify.global employees.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of sanctions advisory experience at a global financial institution or relevant government agency.
  • Substantive knowledge of UK, EU, and OFAC sanctions and experience advising first- and second-line stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidance, manage multiple priorities, and deliver clear recommendations under tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented approach, self-direction, and willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
