Responsible Officer (Web3)

What you will do

• Act as the Responsible Officer and own the SFC Type 1 and Type 4 licence application and maintenance processes.
• Supervise regulated activities and liaise with the Securities and Futures Commission and other regulatory bodies.
• Develop and implement plans to meet regulatory requirements and maintain ongoing compliance.
• Review operations, policies, and procedures against applicable regulatory standards.
• Coordinate internal documentation and responses to SFC enquiries.
• Advise on licensing matters and maintain relationships with external legal and compliance professionals.

Requirements

• Current Type 1 and Type 4 licence holder with a demonstrable history of licence maintenance.
• At least 10 years of relevant financial services experience focused on licensing and regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong securities and futures regulations, including the SFO and relevant codes and guidelines.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and take ownership of regulatory obligations.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a Responsible Officer.
• Familiarity with the virtual asset industry and blockchain technology.
